Clinical Services
Through Clinical Services, The Arc of
Livingston-Wyoming makes available a healthcare
opportunity for people with developmental
disabilities and special needs.
Clinical Services staff members are dedicated to
serving the treatment needs of consumers through
one-on-one clinic and home visits, as well as
group therapy sessions.
The following services are available:
Medical Nutrition Therapy
One of the keys to maintaining good health and
well being is good nutrition. Medical Nutrition
Therapy services are provided under the
direction of a Registered Dietitian and Dietetic
Technician, Registered. Individual and group
sessions are available for nutrition related
problems such as Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes,
obesity, underweight, high cholesterol, high
blood pressure, gastrointestinal disorders,
kidney disease, anemia, and cancer. Good
nutrition can be easy to follow and an enjoyable
way to live. We’ll show you how to take a more
active role in achieving a healthier lifestyle.
Occupational Therapy
Provided either in the clinic or in the workshop
setting, Occupational Therapy enables consumers to remain
productive while receiving the needed therapy.
Physical Therapy
Specific therapies address physical issues,
including balance, gait, dexterity, range of
motion, flexibility, and mobility.
Psychology
Psychological testing and evaluation as well as
administration of specific tests (Vineland,
WAIS, ABAS).
Social Work
Evaluation and counseling is provided by a
Licensed Clinical Social Worker on emotional issues,
stress management, family support, grief and
loss issues, crisis management, human sexuality,
and groups.
Speech Therapy
Evaluation of communication disorder of speech and language. Therapy to address speech production, receptive and expressive language disorders, and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) modalities.
Clinical Services is located n the Hilltop
Industries Building at 3 East State Street in
Mount Morris, New York.
