Community Connections is a service offered by The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming. This program emphasizes community based experience, and is a great opportunity to learn and practice skills that will potentially lead to increased independence and employment options for the future.
Volunteering in the community is an essential part of every day. Whether it’s shredding documents, cleaning offices, working with food assistance and backpack programs, or helping dogs, cats and horse organizations in need, you will see Community Connections out and about volunteering and providing valuable time and service to local organizations. This helps program participants to identify areas of interest and discover new abilities.
“At Community Connections we figure out what our individuals want to do for a job and then what skills they will need to do that job. We then identify real work opportunities where they can practice and improve those skills.”
