LIVES Program

LIVES stands for Learning Independence, Vocational, and Educational Skills.  The LIVES Program is a four year transition program on the campus of the State University of New York College at Geneseo.  The program enables students with intellectual and other developmental disabilities to participate in an immersive four-year college experience.

Lives Program

LIVES students must meet eligibility criteria for the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), and must complete an application and interview process.

Students and staff will develop a plan of study, using career and academic skills assessments. At the completion of their plan of study and their individually designed final project, students will receive a certificate of completion and an assessment of their work, highlighting progress toward their goals.

Students participating in the LIVES Program will have gained valuable skills to live a more satisfying and independent life.
