About This Class:
Advocacy is the act of problem solving with a purpose and a goal. A parent might engage in advocacy on behalf of his or her child; a person who has a disability may advocate for themselves; a teacher may advocate on behalf of a student; groups of people may join forces in systemic advocacy efforts to change laws or policies. A step-by-step approach can guide us toward the desired outcome, regardless of the circumstance or scope. Get confident and ready to take on this role!
To register, please
Call Jean, Outreach Coordinator at 585-991-5459
Be sure to get a reply so you know your request went through. Thank you!
These will be the only FET classes offered here for 2018. If you have FET as a Waiver Service, please choose and RSVP soon. If you are unsure, please contact your Medicaid Service Coordinator (MSC).
While these are FET classes, these trainings are offered to any parent, family member, community member, professional, or staff, etc. who is interested in learning more about the offered topic(s). The trainings are free of charge and you don’t have to be receiving services through The Arc to participate.
*** FET CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED TO 8 PEOPLE SO RSVP ASAP *** YOU MUST REGISTER***
Please RSVP soon. While classes usually fill up quickly, if there are not enough people registered, classes may be cancelled, so registering is very important. When you register, leave a call back phone number, text number or email that can be used as needed for class reminders. Thank you!
