The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming will treat participants to a Halloween-themed edition of its annual Ramon Rocha Run/Walk on Saturday, October 14 at St. Mary’s Church, 4 Avon Road in Geneseo. Registration and packet pick-up is scheduled for 9:00am, and the race will begin at 10:00am.
Runners and walkers are encouraged to race in costume, with prizes awarded for the most creative outfits.
The Ramon Rocha Run/Walk is a 5K (3.1 mile) race through the scenic Village of Geneseo, with prizes awarded to overall winners, and by age group. The course is certified for accuracy by USA Track & Field.
Participants can register in advance at discounted prices by visiting lwarc.org/press-releases/events/ramon-rocha-5k-runwalk/ or calling (585) 658-2828 ext. 133: $20 per individual participant, or $17 per person for teams of four or more people. On race day, those registration fees will be $25 per person. While supplies last, registrants will receive commemorative long-sleeve Halloween t-shirts.
All money raised will benefit individuals with disabilities locally through The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming Foundation, a private, not-for-profit organization. The event is named in memory of Ramon Rocha, a SUNY Geneseo professor and board member at The Arc.

The Ramon Rocha Run/Walk is part of the Geneseo Trio partnership of road races that also includes the Oak Tree 5K/Half Marathon (September 3) and Friday Knight 5K (September 22).
